You need to quit giving the bar manager a pitty party and start listening to your paying lodge brothers.Her sevice is unexceptable and has been long before your staff cuts.

Apparently you did not read my post. Here is my suggestion:
"Every golf course in Deleware Co. is cutting their prices, publishing coupons and in general trying to attract new players. Why don't we go with the trend?" I have lots more ideas, but not one of you will bother to ask the 99%. You just go on doing what you have always done. You get what youdeserve

When I see both the ER and Secretary stating in their article that the doors may be closed, I am hesitant to pay dues early for a $25.00 savings and some golf coupons that might be worthless.

Looks like once again we are going to run off good members with the price of golf.If we made it cheaper than any other course in the county,we could make it up on volume.Also if we are in need of money maybe we should not be giving the board free golf memberships .

What about offering different types of golf memberships? Weekday golf membership and a weekend golf membership? Many courses around the area offer these types of memberships.

3 Rounds of golf per week x 20 weeks = 60 rounds per year. $1500 divided by 60 = $25.00 per round. That seems like a fair price for golf.

Every golf course in Deleware Co. is cutting their prices, publishing coupons and in general trying to attract new players. Why don't we go with the trend? The only reason I joined the Elks, some 40 years ago, was the golf course. You are pricing me out of the Elks CC & Golf.
$625 (golf) + $175 (dues) + $700 (cart) = $1500 I am not a happy camper and I suspect that many of my senior golfers are going to take their game elswhere.

We get a letter from the board about needing money to cover our winter expenses and the
ER is not supporting the lodge over a holiday weekend. The ER seems to Mia here lately

Spanky - You're doing a great job. You have had impossible conditions to work with the last couple of years, but still our greens and fairways are as good or better than any other golf course in the area. Thanks for all your hard work and long hours.

I think it's wrong not to print the newsletter . There are a lot of members who pay lodge
dues who don't have Internet . I will be starting a pe***ion to change this

Cruise raffle..... We sold 168 tickets. The winner was Joyce Veach. Joyce is a D****r INC. employee and works in sales. Her and her husband Robert, live in Yorktown. After the expense of the crusie is taken from the ticket sales we now have about $8,700 in our Deck fund. A special thanks to Adine Winkle and Tim Carnes between the two of them they got about 70% of the tickets sold. The winning ticket was sold by yours truly and I donated the $100 back to the deck fund. Brian Hickok

Glad to see Muncie Elks has a website. I used to be a member back in the 70's and 80's. Have many fond memories of this place. I see Charlie Hudson is still winning, He took alot of my money. Have many great memories with our golf trips to Pensicola with Doc Ware's gang. Tell them Bill OBrien is alive and still golfing. Can reach me at obinsurance@yahoo.com.

You can see all the other scheduled events except the ELGA tournaments, which are not on the calendar. Thank you for putting the school schedules on!!

Click on View Month under Coming Events on the left menu and you can see when the schools play and all other scheduled events.

Congrats to Dave Fuller and Steve Aul for stepping up to the plate and becoming a lodge officer!!! Dave and Steve, if I can be of any help to you, feel free to ask or call me. I don't know how many of you know that Dave Fuller is a Past Exalted Ruler of Muncie Lodge 245 so he knows what he has to face as lodge Secretary. Lets all wish these new officers "Good Luck" in the coming year.

I am looking for Matthew Winkle, who I served with in the US Marines between 1988 -1992. He loved to golf, was from Muncie, and see him listed on your roster, so I am hoping this is the Matt I am looking for. We fell out of touch about 10 years ago and I miss my old buddy.
